Front Porch Flowers
A few years ago I excitedly embarked on the journey of motherhood - not knowing that the trenches of postpartum and unresolved childhood trauma would rock me to my core. I spent those years living with severe anxiety and depression, resulting in me throwing myself into a life of non stop obligations I created for myself, in order to distract myself. I lived in a chronic stress response for so long that my nervous system gave up trying to warn me via my mental health that I needed to slow down and started screaming it at me through my physical health. I was throwing up, fainting, having heart palpitations, and covered in stress hives. I knew if I didn’t stop, I would eventually get to a point that I couldn’t reverse.
That’s when I had to slow down and in the stillness is where I found the most beautiful path to healing.
I am a certified Reiki Practioner practicing Usui Reiki, in which I bring your energy fields back into balance using a holistic approach that incorporates reiki, meditation, EFT, and breathwork. I am also a RYT that offers healing through movement and yoga.
It is truly my passion and goal to provide you a safe, sacred space to find deep rest and healing. I believe that the love you give yourself today is your way of leaving behind flowers for your future self. And my hope is that when you finally come home to yourself, you walk up to a porch FULL of beautiful flowers waiting for you.

Apex Counseling Services, ltd
I have been a Registered Nurse with CARNA since 1980 and after 18 years of working in in-patient psychiatry, I expanded my professional career to include Group Psychotherapy Training through the Canadian Group Psychotherapy Association. Since 1998 I have been in private practice, specializing in Mental Health counselling as well as Domestic Violence Treatment programs, in both individual and group settings.

I believe that resiliency is strongly independent on one's ability to connect and engage with individuals who bear witness to their struggles, traumas, and vulnerabilities. I work specifically from a strength-based modality: We are more than the sum total of the struggles we experience.
